Art for 07/07. Drawn and colored in Flash in like 40 minutes. I didn't see a fanart category for vector art, so if this is in the wrong place, could a mod please move it?

Beast Boy and his beloved B-ped from Teen Titans are my OTP - theirloveissotragic. The episode was rerunning tonight and I was reminded of my passionate love for it: from the killer tofu to BB's cute little riding outfit. I had to do some kind of an art homage, even a Flash sketch. I really like how the colors turned out, I need to play around with my palette more often.

Inaccuracies about, but I was drawing without reference, so meh ^_^

Thanks! When I use Flash I get rather experimental with line and color. I'm trying to figure out how to jazz up the sky even further, so I'm glad this technique works ^_^

I don't actually like much about Flash (I hate its script, its animation format, etc etc ;) but I love drawing in it. The recent version, at least, has a tapered line weight and an automatic smoothing function, so unlike Photoshop you can get quite expressive and polished linework straight from a tablet ^^

I think you would like it, given the amount you draw on the computer :)

Oh wow... that's FLASH? Awesome.

I haven't seen that episode... Seeing him in that position and that outfit and that style makes him seem eerily like Haruko from FLCL...

i don't know if I'd draw in it much, but I definately want to learn to design webpages in it..as much as I HATE flash intros and stuff... darned loading time.... most pople want flash in their designs these days. ^_^

*nod* But at least for webdesign you can deliberately choose to do a simple flash layout. I'm with you, I find it kind of a pain (especially when people use it for SO many effects and their pages load so slowly!)...but it's all about how you use it, I guess? ^^

In short: Definitely worth it.

Thanks! I really like drawing in Flash - if you can get your mitts on a tablet, I think you'd really like it, too (the line smoothing is just awesome and Photoshop can't really top it).

The moped and the clothes are from the episode - I'm with you, it definitely makes me think of Haruko! Maybe it's a deliberate parody? Teen Titans does have a lot of anime influence :)
