Summary: An ashen tomb for you to rest in. Together.  
Peter is worried about his dads and goes looking for them.
AN: This is actually based off of a dream I had, which I'm pretty sure I had because I went to an exhibition and there was something about an artist who had made a ton of statues of people doing everyday thing and then placing them in the sea.

It instantly made me think of Pompeii, what with all the people there turning in 'statues' because of Mt Vesuvius' ashes.

Just Starting Out     Steve had never had a phone in his bedroom. Before he'd been frozen in the ice, he'd only ever had one phone. He could never get used to the phone ringing so close to his bed. That's why, when the phone went off in the middle of the night, Steve was the one who woke up. Tony barely twitched.
    He reached over for the phone, pulled it clumsily off the nightstand, and muttered a groggy hello.
    "Captain Rogers?" Steve sat up. The voice of an officer made him snap to attention on instinct.
    "Commander Fury. What's wrong? Did something happen?"
    "Put Stark on the phone." Steve looked over at Tony, sleeping peacefully.
   
A Real HeroSteve's meeting with Fury had run late that night. Normally when he had to be out for such things, they would finish up and he could be home at a decent hour, like six. It was now half past eleven. He wondered idly as he approached the house if Tony had realized it and made dinner.

Had dinner delivered. He corrected himself. Tony didn't cook. And JARVIS had probably notified him when Steve didn't show. Even though his husband was definitely a workaholic, he would have made sure Peter got dinner.
