Etain for Emme. Emme is an awesomely kind person with some really interesting characters - I've been meaning to sketch something for her for ages.
I have difficulty with these kinds of poses, so I thought I'd jump in and try one (the more I practice the less difficult they get, maybe?). It also seemed like appropriate body language for Etain ^_^ Colored in Painter with various watercolor brushes.
I agree about the hands - I wanted to have them grip the pole at the top, but then they got blocked by her head (I actually sketched them out behind there, too). In the future I think I'll try and tweak poses so they don't look like they're hiding.
Thanks SO MUCH! this was so unexpected! ^_^ I love the details you put into her outfit, and the translucence of her top, so perfect!
I think you captured her attitude quite well! Can I use this piece for her profile graphic in my character account?

I do really like the pose! It seems to say a lot about the character. Very nice outfit design too. The colors turned out really great! I swear if I did not read in the description that was Painter, I would have thought it real media!
I just love the way you draw characters. ;.; I can't stop staring at her boots, they came out so wonderfully. I really feel like she's standing and planted there. :3 I love how her shirt came out as well. I always have such a tough time getting transparent or sheerness across, and you did a great job. -^^- You make me wish I had my painter program working again hahaha
You're welcome! I was so hoping we could've been in the same weekly again, so I decided to take initiative and sketch something anyway ^_^ I like the look of her, I hope to see more of her soon?
Feel free and use this whereever you want, I'm just glad you like it ^_^
wow, you did a great job on the pose! I have poses that drive me bonkers. Usually sitting positions... But it doesn't look like it was awkward to you at all here. ^_~
Aw! thanks so much! yeah, it would have been so cool to be in the same group again! isn't that where we kind of got to know eachother, that weekly exchange from AGES ago? But i'm happy with the group I did end up with, though amusingly, two of them I've already drawn the character they picked once before!
I hope to have time to draw her more, she should show up in the comic as soon as I get somewhere on it. *hugs* thanks so much again for drawing her for me. After the weeklies I'm going to have to do Something for you. ^_^

I think this looks wonderful! I really love the pose that you used - hey, I would have loved it because it would have kept me from having to draw hands! lol. ANyhow, I also love the colors and the watercolor brushes you used - it's real loose and free in the coloring and I think it adds to the flavor of the whole picture! Awesome work!
